Pitch is the embodiment of fear itself. Under normal circumstances he can easily and instinctively know what the fears of those around him are, to better exploit for his own gain. He also uses this knowledge to "nudge" people in certain directions. For example, if there is a dark hallway and a character is afraid of the dark, Pitch will be able to pick up on that and tell them to find another way around, because that hallway is simply too dark. It is his way of enabling the survival of certain individuals, his original role in the grand scheme of things. However, as of late he's rather enjoyed tormenting people with their fears for his own amusement.

SO WITH THAT BEING SAID this is a handy permissions post for that!

Anything else (show of affection, injury, killing) I am usually a-ok with! Just in the case of any injury or killing situations I ask that you drop me a line first.

Post here with whether it's okay for Pitch to pick up on your character's fears, and if so, list them, or go into depth with them. Go crazy! Also specify if inflicting your character with nightmares is something that's allowed. <3

I'm going to try to put this in a way that makes sense hurrdurr

Link: A-OK to whatever you wanna do--she's WAAAAAY more susceptible to things than Break, but that said, despite how much she may fear something, Link's generally the type to head towards it stupidly and head-on even at the risk of her own death, even when she's terrified, because Triforce of Courage. Actually on that note, I'm not really sure if he'd... be able to do TOO much to her given that same Magical Triangle Bit? I'll leave that up to you since I am fine with him doing whatever. c:

Link is likelier to be pinged by her Weird Darkness Sensors though given her being sensitive to that sort of thing, and she might feel weird around Pitch and may or may not be defensive and, if he gets kinda creeperish on her, there's the possibility she might try to fight him, just as an aside.

Fears: Okay hmm... Link's biggest fears are definitely that she'll fail people, that she's not a very good hero at all, and, well, people finding out she's a girl and treating her inferior because of it, or that they'll suddenly hate her for it. Her worst fear, though, is that she'll lose the people she loves like Zelda or any of her close CR (England comes to mind) to Ganondorf, or that they'll be hurt beyond being okay by the administrators. Admittedly, she is scared of Ruana, as well. But again, all the things she fears she will mostly acknowledge and try to work past, sans the obvious Hiding Her Gender issue. :V

Break: This should be... interesting. Break has something called a Chain in him that's kiiiinda like what Pitch is, only it used to be human way upon a yesteryear and it's basically kinda wrapped up inside him all contracted like a demon or some shit. The Mad Hatter would quite easily allow him to sense things about Pitch, I think; Chains are good at that, and Break is far from stupid, but likewise, I think Pitch would probably pick up that this particular human is older than he looks, has stopped aging, and that he's... not exactly normal by any standard. He could affect Break with nightmares, though Break is very good at seeing past this sort of thing and would honestly not be all that bothered by it--he's been through worse than a few bad dreams.

Fears: Break's fears, I think, Pitch will have a harder time immediately finding. Unlike Link, Break is not an open book and easy to read; he has layers to him, and discovering these will take a bit of time around him and figuring him out... but... hm. His worst fears are already kind of manifest and he got over them damn quickly, but I'd have to say what he fears most is an odd one: that he might lose control or simply lose his battle against time before he can fix things and meet his goals, mostly. Otherwise, even then, this is something Break accepts and is fine with? Like he knows it's there and he's... honestly not very afraid of most things haha.

On a lesser level he'd never admit it but he's afraid he's lost the family he serves as well as his "friends" from back home completely: Alice (the one with black hair), Reim Lunettes, the Rainsworths whom he serves, and Gilbert Nightray. This one is a little harder to find, but it's there.

What else... he's afraid of attachments. As in, getting close to people. Break's life has sucked so attachments are not things he is fond of having; he lives a USE ME AND I SHALL USE YOU sort of life, and he's honest about that, too. If I think of anything else I'll drop it here I guess, but I doubt Break would get into any fights unwarranted, and I'd bug you if he might.
